“Depression: Someone You Know Really Needs for You to Hear This”
Dr. Bev Yahnke, Executive Director for Christian Counsel at DOXOLOGY
Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Village Lutheran Church: St. Louis

The next event in the Village Lutheran Lectures on Christianity & Culture is scheduled for Saturday, March 4, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Village Lutheran Church in the St. Louis suburb of Ladue, Mo.
Dr. Beverly Yahnke’s presentation is titled “Depression: Someone You Know Really Needs for You to Know This.”
Dr. Yahnke is Executive Director for Christian Counsel at DOXOLOGY, a Recognized Service Organization of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod based in suburban Milwaukee, Wis.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
The conversation may forever shape the way that you think about how to care for self and others in God’s family. Dr. Yahnke will offer engaging clinical perspectives and strategies for use by moms, dads, colleagues, and friends who want to respond effectively to those who are hurting.
The rate of depression is increasing across age levels as countless individuals battle with depression, deep discouragement, or suicidal thoughts. COVID radically increased the levels of depression among us.
We’ll focus on how to detect and to respond to signs and symptoms of depression in children, teens, and adults. We’ll also examine how to remain healthy as you support a friend or loved one who may be struggling.
Attendees will be able to submit questions at the end of Dr. Yahnke's presentation.
